Description

The Polyphenols Pack is used for gluten analysis in foods containing high levels of polyphenols and tannins, such as cocoa, chocolate, wine, coffee, tea, legumes, and berries. These substances bind to and precipitate gluten proteins (e.g., gliadin), which hinders extraction and can lead to false-negative results.

Adding a specific binding additive during the extraction step prevents this complex formation. Polyphenols are neutralized and gluten is effectively released, enabling accurate analysis using G12-based methods. The product is used as a supplement in sample preparation and is not a standalone test.

Polyphenol Pack (KIT3008) kan användas tillsammans med GlutenTox Sticks Plus (KIT3005), GlutenTox Sticks Plus for Reader (KIT3007) och GlutenTox ELISA (Competitive G12, KIT3012, samt Rapid G12, KIT3075) för att optimera extraktionen av gluten ur matriser med hög halt av polyfenoler. Produkten är särskilt relevant vid analys av komplexa eller växtbaserade matriser där standardextraktion inte är tillräcklig. Innehållets räckvidd beror på provtyp och extraktionsförfarande.
