Description

Neogen Detection System (MDS) is a compact analytical instrument for the molecular detection of pathogens in food production and hygiene control. The system is based on isothermal DNA amplification (LAMP) combined with bioluminescence, enabling rapid and sensitive detection without the need for traditional PCR.

The instrument is used in conjunction with specific test kits for target organisms such as Salmonella, Listeria, E. coli O157, Campylobacter, and Cronobacter. The analysis is performed after sample preparation/enrichment and provides qualitative results (positive/negative) on the same day or the next, depending on the method.

The system is designed for high-throughput routine work (up to 96 analyses per run) and allows for the simultaneous analysis of multiple parameters. The software manages runs, results, and traceability, and multiple instruments can be controlled from the same computer.

The instrument is solid-state (no moving parts), requires minimal maintenance, and features automatic self-diagnostics at startup.

Features

  • LAMP detection (isothermal amplification)
  • No thermal cycling is required
  • Rapid analysis compared to conventional PCR
  • A targeted approach against specific pathogens
  • Compact instrument (smaller than a laptop)
  • No calibration, minimal maintenance
  • Automatic system diagnostics at startup
  • Software for traceability and data logging
  • Ability to run multiple instruments simultaneously
