Neogen® Molecular Detection Assay 2 – E. coli O157 (including H7)

Neogen Detection Assay 2 – E. coli O157 is a targeted LAMP for the rapid screening of E. coli O157 (including H7) in food and process samples following enrichment. The method is based on isothermal DNA amplification combined with bioluminescence detection, enabling rapid and specific identification of the target organism.

After amplification, the sample is analyzed in a closed system where amplification and detection occur simultaneously. Positive results can be obtained early in the analysis, while negative results are reported once the run is complete. The method has been validated against reference methods and is used for screening, with positive findings requiring confirmation using standard laboratory methods.

The system is optimized for food samples and requires standardized sample preparation, including enrichment at a controlled temperature prior to analysis.
