Bionova® MiniBio – Automatic reader for biological indicators

Terragene Bionova MiniBio is an automatic reader and incubator for rapid monitoring of biological indicators during sterilization and disinfection. The system uses fluorescence-based detection, which enables significantly shorter reading times compared to traditional incubation.

The instrument is designed to process Rapid, Super Rapid, and Ultra Rapid biological indicators and provides results in approximately 20 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the process and indicator.

MiniBio has three independent incubation positions and can run multiple indicators simultaneously, making it suitable for smaller central sterilization departments, dental practices, and laboratories where rapid release is critical.

The system operates at two temperatures (37 °C and 60 °C), covering various sterilization processes such as steam, ethylene oxide, hydrogen peroxide, and formaldehyde.

Results are indicated visually and audibly and are documented via a built-in printer and USB connection for traceability. Fluorescence detection (~460 nm) provides high sensitivity and rapid detection of positive results.
