QD-Loop™ – Sterile Rapid Dilution Unit

Hygiena® QD-Loop™ is a ready-to-use, sterile rapid dilution device for microbiological sample preparation in the food industry, laboratories, and hygiene control. The product combines a calibrated loop containing 1.0 mL of Butterfield’s buffer with an integrated Snap-Valve system, enabling rapid and reproducible dilution without the need for separate pipetting or dilution bottles.

After sampling, the Snap-Valve container is broken, and the buffer is released directly into the tube. The sample is then mixed and can be applied directly to agar plates or ready-to-use film media such as Petrifilm™. The system reduces the number of steps and helps standardize routine microbiological sample preparation.

QD-Loop™ is available in two ready-to-use dilution formats for direct 1:100 or 1:1000 dilution, depending on the selected variant. The product is gamma-sterilized and intended for single use.
