Q-Swab™ – Sampling swab with pre-filled medium

Hygiena® Q-Swab™ is a ready-to-use swab for microbiological environmental sampling of surfaces in food production, healthcare settings, and other hygiene-critical operations. Each unit contains 1.0 mL of medium in an integrated Snap-Valve reservoir, allowing the sample to be collected as a dry or pre-moistened swab and then transferred directly to a culture plate or ready-to-use film medium.

The integrated medium reservoir allows the sample liquid to be applied directly to, for example, Petrifilm™ or agar without a separate pipetting step. This simplifies the workflow for routine environmental sampling and reduces the need for additional laboratory equipment and handling steps.

BPW is used for general microbiological environmental sampling, while Letheen is used when neutralizing disinfectants and cleaning chemicals is important during sampling.
