Petrifilm™ Aerobic Count Plate (AC)

Petrifilm™ Aerobic Count Plate (AC) is a quantitative culture method for the enumeration of aerobic bacteria. The product consists of a ready-to-use culture plate containingdehydrated culture medium, which eliminates the need for agar preparation and simplifies microbiological analysis.

This method is widely used in food production, hygiene control, and environmental monitoring. By replacing traditional agar plates with a pre-formatted system, the need for preparation is reduced, while the analysis becomes more standardized and reproducible.

Petrifilm™ enables flexible sampling and can be used for the analysis of food, water, surfaces, and environmental samples. The method is suitable for diluted samples, swab samples, and direct contact with surfaces such as pressure plates, and can also be used for air sampling in accordance with established application guidelines.
