Description
The Megazyme™ Acetaldehyde Assay Kit is intended for the quantitative analysis of acetaldehyde in food and beverage matrices. The method is based on the enzymatic oxidation of acetaldehyde by aldehyde dehydrogenase, in which the formation of NADH is measured spectrophotometrically at 340 nm.
The assay is specific for acetaldehyde and is suitable for laboratories involved in quality control, fermentation processes, and aging studies where acetaldehyde is a critical parameter.
