AlerTox® Sticks Walnut

AlerTox Walnut is an immunochromatographic rapid test for the detection of walnut protein in food production and hygiene control. The test is used to verify cleaning, check raw materials, and identify cross-contamination in processing environments.

The method is based on monoclonal antibodies directed against the walnut allergen Jug r 4 and provides results in approximately 10 minutes without the need for any equipment. The test is specific to walnuts and shows no cross-reactivity with other nuts such as pecans, hazelnuts, or almonds.

The analysis is qualitative and is suitable for screening in self-monitoring programs where quick decisions are required.
