Chemdye® CDWU-Z – Cavitation Test for Ultrasonic Baths

Chemdye® CDWU-Z is used to verify that ultrasonic baths generate sufficient and evenly distributed cavitation for effective cleaning. The indicator reacts to the mechanical energy generated in the liquid and produces a distinct color change from blue to yellow when functioning properly.

The test enables the identification of weak zones and insufficient cavitation that would otherwise go undetected visually. It is used for routine inspections, as well as during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, to ensure that the bath delivers the correct energy.

This product is designed for ultrasonic baths operating at ≥35 kHz and is used without a load to verify the bath’s performance and energy distribution.

The result can be read visually or using an instrument. When used in conjunction with CaviTest, the color change is converted into a quantifiable value (cavitation index) and a clear PASS/FAIL result, enabling objective assessment and traceable documentation.
