foodproof® Spoilage Yeast Detection 2 LyoKit

foodproof® Spoilage Yeast Detection 2 LyoKit is aPCR test for the detection of spoilage yeast in food and beverages. The method is based on the amplification of specific DNA sequences and enables the selective identification of relevant spoilage organisms in, for example, beer, wine, juice, and other beverage matrices.

The kit contains a ready-to-use, lyophilized PCR, which minimizes pipetting steps and reduces the risk of contamination. An internal control is included to ensure that negative results are not caused by PCR. When used in combination with foodproof® Reagent D, the assay can be targeted at DNA from live yeast cells.

The analysis time is approximately 2.5 hours, depending on the workflow and instrument.

The product is available in several versions (LP, RP, and DP), and the choice of version determines which target organisms are detected in the analysis.
