Description

foodproof® Beer Screening 1 LyoKit is aPCR developed for rapid screening of beer-spoiling bacteria in brewing processes. The method enables early detection of contamination in beer, yeast, and process samples, thereby reducing the risk of product loss and quality issues.

The analysis is based on variant-driven multiplexPCR different panels enable targeted or broad-spectrum screening of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative beer-spoiling bacteria. This includes lactic acid bacteria and strictly anaerobic bacteria relevant to beer production, with the ability to specifically detect critical target organisms and hop-tolerance genes.

The multiplex design enables the simultaneous detection of multiple DNA targets in a single test, providing high information density and efficient analysis without the need for parallel tests. An internal control ensures that PCR is functioning properly and that any inhibition in the sample is detected.

The LyoKit format contains freeze-dried, pre-portioned reaction components, which minimizes pipetting steps, reduces the risk of contamination, and simplifies daily use in the laboratory.
