BAX® System Real-Time PCR for STEC Screening

PCR for rapid screening of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) in food and environmental samples usingPCR. The assay detects the virulence genes stx1, stx2, and eae and is used as the first screening step in the STEC analysis workflow. Negative samples can be released immediately, while positive samples can be further verified using panel tests. The method is validated for multiple matrices and meets the requirements for regulatory food control. Pre-prepared PCR and internal controls minimize manual handling and ensure robust results.
