BAX® System Real-Time PCR for STEC Panel 2

The BAX® System Real-Time STEC Panel 2 is a variant-specificPCR for the specific detection of selected STEC serogroups in food and production environments. The assay is used as a confirmatory step following STEC screening and enables serogroup identification without additional sample preparation, as the same lysate can be used.

The method is optimized for rapid and reproducible detection with clear positive/negative results, which supports quick decisions regarding product release. Panel 2 is part of the BAX® STEC suite and complements screening and panel tests to provide full coverage of serogroups relevant to regulatory requirements.
