Petrifilm™ Coliform Count Plates (CC)

Petrifilm™ Coliform Count Plates are ready-to-use culture plates for the quantification of coliform bacteria without the need for agar preparation. The system contains a selective nutrient medium based on Violet Red Bile (VRB), a water-soluble gel-forming substrate, and indicators that enable clear visualization of colonies.

Coliform bacteria are identified as red colonies, often associated with gas production, which allows for simple and standardized interpretation according to established reference methods. Results are typically available within approximately 24 hours, depending on the method and application.

These plates are widely used in the food industry, water analysis, and hygiene control for routine monitoring of microbiological quality.
