Petrifilm™ High-Sensitivity Coliform Count Plates (HSCC)

Petrifilm™ High-Sensitivity Coliform Count Plates are ready-to-use culture plates containing dehydrated culture medium for the quantitative determination of coliform bacteria. The system is designed to detect low levels of coliforms by allowing the analysis of up to 5 mL of sample volume, which increases sensitivity compared to standard methods.

The plates contain nutrients based on Violet Red Bile (VRB), a gelling system, and an indicator that enables clear visualization and quantification of colonies. Gas produced by coliforms is trapped in the gel and used as a confirmation parameter.

Results are available within approximately 24 hours without the need for additional verification steps, providing an efficient and standardized method for routine analysis.
