Neogen® Mini Flip-Top Vials
Pre-filled Mini Flip-Top tubes for microbiological sample preparation, dilution, and rehydration of swabs or sponges in food production, healthcare settings, and other hygiene-critical operations. The series is available with several different media and buffer solutions depending on the application, such as general microbiology, neutralization of disinfectants, or recovery of stressed microorganisms.
Description
Neogen® Mini Flip-Top Vials are a family of pre-filled, single-use vials designed for quick and easy microbiological sample handling. The products are used as a diluent or for rehydrating dry swabs and sponges in environmental sampling and food analysis. The integrated flip-top cap enables quick aseptic opening and resealing during routine analysis.
The series includes a variety of media and buffers for different workflows:
• Buffered Peptone Water (BPW) for general sample preparation and food microbiology
• Letheen Broth for neutralizing residual disinfectants
• Neutralizing Buffer for environmental sampling in cleaned hygiene environments
• D/E Broth for more demanding neutralization and recovery
• Maximum Recovery Diluent (MRD) for recovery of stressed microorganisms
• Butterfield’s Buffer for standardized dilutions
• MRS Broth for lactic acid bacteria and fermentation-related microbiology
Mini Flip-Top Vials can be used with swabs, dry sponges, and Petrifilm™ plates for routine environmental monitoring and microbiological analysis. They are particularly useful in settings that aim to reduce manual pipetting and simplify standardized sample preparation.
