Description
The Fish Protein Rapid Kit is a lateral flow-based rapid test for screening for fish protein in food production. The method is based on immunochromatography using antibodies specific to fish proteins and provides a visual result in approximately 11 minutes.
The test is intended for verifying cleaning and allergen control in production, including the analysis of surface samples, CIP rinse water, and food samples. It detects both processed and unmodified proteins, provided they are properly extracted.
This method is a screening method and is influenced by the sample matrix and process conditions. Hydrolyzed proteins are not detected, which is a significant limitation in certain food processing applications.
