Dipslide – Total Count, Yeast and Mold

Dipslide is a combined microbiological test for screening total bacterial counts, as well as yeast and mold, in food production, healthcare settings, and other hygiene-critical operations. The test is used to provide a comprehensive overview of microbial contamination on surfaces, in liquids, and in process environments.

The slide is coated with two different culture media: Nutrient Agar with a TTC indicator for total bacterial count and Malt Extract Agar for yeast and mold. This allows for the simultaneous analysis of both bacterial and fungal contamination in a single test.

After incubation, visible colony growth develops on each side, allowing for semi-quantitative assessment using a reference chart. The method is used for screening and verifying cleaning and disinfection, particularly in environments where both bacterial and yeast and mold growth are relevant.
