Petrifilm™ Staph Express Count Plates (STX)

Petrifilm™ Staph Express Count Plates (STX) are ready-to-use culture plates for the quantification of Staphylococcus aureus. Suspected colonies are verified using Petrifilm™ Staph Express Disks. The system is based on a selective and differential chromogenic medium derived from the modified Baird-Parker method, which enables clear identification of typical reddish-violet colonies.

The method provides results in approximately 24 hours and replaces traditional agar-based methods by eliminating the need for media preparation. In cases of complex background flora, supplementary confirmation can be performed using Staph Express Disk for reliable identification ofS. aureus.
