Petrifilm™ Select E. coli Count Plates (SEC) are a selective, ready-to-use culture system developed for the quantitative analysis of E. coli. The system is based on a dehydrated culture medium containing nutrients, selective components, and indicators that enable the specific detection and clear visualization of E. coli colonies.

This method eliminates the need for agar preparation and subsequent confirmation steps, resulting in a standardized and efficient assay with high reproducibility. After incubation, characteristic colonies develop, allowing for direct reading.
