Petrifilm™ Aqua Heterotrophic Count Plates (AQHC)

Petrifilm™ Aqua Heterotrophic Count Plates are designed for the quantitative determination of heterotrophic bacteria in water, particularly in the bottled water industry. The test is based on a dehydrated culture medium containing standardized nutrients, a gelling agent, and an indicator that enables clear colony counting.

This method eliminates the need for agar preparation and provides a standardized, space-saving assay with reproducible results. The plates can be used for both membrane filtration and direct inoculation of water samples.
