Description

LuciPac A3 Surface is used to check whether surfaces have been cleaned sufficiently. The swabs are dry and must be moistened before use on dry surfaces.

Each sampling unit contains a sampling swab, extraction solution, and measurement reagent. After sampling, the test is activated and placed in a compatible Lumitester Smart or PD-30 meter. The result is displayed in RLU within 10 seconds.

This product is intended for routine hygiene inspections in, for example, the food industry, commercial kitchens, healthcare facilities, laboratories, and professional cleaning services.

LuciPac® A3 Surface – Pre-Moistened features a swab that is pre-moistened and ready for immediate use on both dry and damp surfaces. Pre-moistened swabs provide more standardized (reproducible) sampling because the moisture level is more consistent, and there is no need to re-moisten the swab with clean water before sampling dry surfaces.

LuciPac® A3 Surface – Dry features a swab that can be used directly on damp surfaces or moistened separately before sampling on dry surfaces. The main advantage of dry swabs is their longer shelf life: approximately 15 months from the date of manufacture, compared to 12 months for the pre-moistened version.

We recommend choosingLuciPac® A3 Surface – Pre-moistened first and foremost,as it is easier to use and more standardized. However, the dry version is best if a longer shelf life is the top priority.

Lightly moisten the swab tip with clean tap water before sampling dry surfaces. The swab should be evenly moistened but not soaked or dripping, as too much water can impair sample collection and make the results less reproducible.

Our recommendation:

  1. Let the cold water run for a few seconds.
  2. Moisten the swab immediately—do not use a reused cup.
  3. Regularly measure a " water blank," that is, a moistened swab without a surface sample.
  4. If the blank value is more than approximately 10–20 RLU, check the water and your procedure.
  5. For maximum reproducibility: choose the pre-moistened A3 Surface fromLuciPac , where the moistening is standardized.
