Bionova® 20-Minute Steam Test Pack PCD Kit – Ultra Rapid

Bionova® KPCD224-C is a complete Process Challenge Device (PCD) for verifying steam sterilization in autoclaves. The test kit combines an ultra-fast biological indicator (BT224) with a Type 5 chemical integrator (Integron® IT26-C, moving front), providing both biological and chemical verification in a single test.

This product is designed for routine release of loads, including implants, as well as for continuous process monitoring and validation of sterilization processes. It detects deficiencies in air removal and steam penetration in both pre-vacuum and gravity cycles.

The biological indicator contains Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores and provides a fluorescence-based result after 20 minutes of incubation at 60 °C. At the same time, the chemical indicator provides a clear ACCEPT/REJECT reading based on sterilization parameters corresponding to spore inactivation.

This product is particularly useful in situations where quick decision-making is required, such as in smaller clinics or during implant procedures where waiting hours for BI results is not an option.
