Dipslides are very easy to use and are available with both selective and non-selective media for various types of microorganisms. They generally have a shelf life of 4–6 months at room temperature.
To streamline sampling, several Dipslide are available in combination formats, meaning that different types of agar are applied to the sides of the pressure plate. This allows a single sample site to be analyzed for, for example, total bacterial count and yeast/mold using the same pressure plate.
The benefits of Dipslides can be summarized in three points:
- Easy to use and read
- Long shelf life at room temperature
- Time-saving combination tiles
