Description
Dipslide is a selective microbiological test for the detection of yeast and mold in food production, healthcare settings, and other hygiene-critical operations. The test is used to assess microbial contamination in environments where yeast and mold growth can affect product quality and hygiene.
The slide is coated with Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar on both sides, which inhibits bacterial growth and allows for the selective cultivation of yeast and mold. After incubation, visible growth develops, which can be assessed semi-quantitatively using reference charts.
This method is used for screening and verifying cleaning and disinfection, particularly in environments where moisture and organic matter can promote the growth of yeast and mold.
