Contam Swab E. coli and Coliforms

Contam Swab E. coli/Coliforms is a culture-based swab test for targeted hygiene monitoring of surfaces and equipment. The test contains a chromogenic selective medium that enables the detection and differentiation of E. coli and coliform bacteria after incubation.

After sampling, the swab is incubated directly in the integrated medium. Coliform bacteria produce a distinct color change, while E. coli can be identified by fluorescence under UV light.

This is a qualitative method used to verify cleaning and disinfection, with a focus on fecal indicator bacteria. Results are obtained after approximately 18–24 hours of incubation.
