Megazyme™ Catalase Assay Kit

The Megazyme™ Catalase Assay Kit is a colorimetric method for analyzing catalase activity based on the enzyme’s ability to break down hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂). The remaining amount of hydrogen peroxide is quantified via an enzyme-linked color reaction measured spectrophotometrically at 520 nm, which minimizes interference compared to UV-based methods.

The method is optimized for reproducibility and reduced manual intervention by accounting for variations in substrate concentration in the calculation. The assay is suitable for laboratories that require a robust and standardized method for measuring enzyme activity in complex matrices.
