AlerTox® Sticks Beta-Lactoglobulin
Rapid lateral flow test for the qualitative detection of β-lactoglobulin in food and on surfaces. Used to verify cleaning and prevent cross-contamination with milk allergens.
Description
AlerTox Beta-Lactoglobulin is a rapid immunochromatographic test based on lateral flow technology for the detection of β-lactoglobulin, a whey protein found in milk. The test is used in food production to monitor raw materials, production lines, and cleaning effectiveness.
The method provides a qualitative result in about 10 minutes without the need for laboratory equipment. The test is specific to β-lactoglobulin and does not cross-react with other milk proteins such as casein, making it suitable for distinguishing between different milk proteins in allergen testing.
The kit can be used on solid foods, liquids (e.g., rinse water), and surfaces in production environments, making it a tool for internal quality control and HACCP.
