Browne™ Washer Disinfector Test Soil

Browne™ Soil Test is a color indicator based on a defined test soil containing protein, fat, and carbohydrates. It is designed to simulate clinical contamination and is used to verify the cleaning effectiveness of dishwasher-disinfectors.

The indicator is placed with the load and run through the standard cycle. Once the cycle is complete, the results are assessed visually based on how well the test dirt has been removed. Any remaining color indicates deficiencies in the cleaning process, such as issues related to mechanical action, chemical dosing, or program settings.

The method is consistent with established test soil models in accordance with ISO and provides a reproducible way to verify that the dishwashing process achieves sufficient cleaning performance.
